Unfortunately, my stay was quite disappointing. The room had a noticeable stain on the carpet, which gave it an unkempt appearance. the shower curtain had mold, which was unsettling and should have been addressed before my arrival. Lastly, I could hear noise from the road, disrupting my sleep at times.

The family room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable atmosphere. I appreciated the welcoming nature of Joe, the host. He went above and beyond to assist me when my son needed a place to prepare for his wedding. Breakfast was a delightful experience, especially enjoyed the fresh bread and black pudding. The location, a short walk to the High Street, made it convenient for dining and exploring the area. the private bathroom being across the hall was a bit inconvenient and lacked a lock, which required some communication. A kettle in the room instead of a coffee machine would have been more convenient for making warm drinks.

Each morning, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast prepared by Joe, who was always welcoming and offered a great variety of choices, including Full Scottish cooked options and fresh fruit.

The lack of soundproofing between rooms could be an issue for some guests.

I had a fantastic stay, as the room was clean and pleasant. It was only a short walk from the bustling High Street, where I found some great dining options like the local Ghurkian restaurant.

Loved my stay! The room was spacious and came with lovely little touches, like homemade gingerbread, and breakfast options were diverse and tasty, especially those pancakes. Just a heads up, the road noise was a bit noticeable at times, but it didn’t truly take away from the great experience. 😊
